As we rocket towards the end of the year, Pinterest has released its Pinterest Predicts 2023. And they are well worth taking a look at.
What is Pinterest Predicts?
These are the trends Pinterest predicts will be big in 2023. In the last 3 years, 80% of their predictions have come good, so they're well worth investigating.
At least do the following:
If you can, use the Trend keywords in your pins.
Write blog content around the trend
Create Idea Pins on the topics that are relevant to you
I've picked out a selection that I've spotted as being intriguing and on the rise, that you may find handy.
#1 Home Front
It's time for the porch to take centre stage. Pinterest has seen big rises in the number of searches for foyer and entryway decor so if your content can feed into this trend, go for it. I have a Home Entrance pin and blog post that's been doing really well all year.
#2 Rainscapes
Ignore the headings and lean into the detail. This trend focuses on sustainability and saving water, so anything from showers to eco-friendly fabrics will sit nicely in this niche.
#3 Wildflours
Pretty daisy aesthetics and flowers in decor and baking are a growing trend. Think sage green cupcakes (sage green is everywhere) and purple flower cakes. This one is driven by Gen x and Millenials.
Why are these trends important? Pinterest trends rise faster than on other platforms. A recent study showed Pinterest trends took off 20% faster than on other platforms and lasted 20% longer. Get on board with the trends and get ahead of your competition.
Use these trends to investigate the Trends Tool to find keywords, topics and new board ideas - you should be doing this regularly.
Staying ahead of the curve is essential with Pinterest so start planning your pins for 2023, and let the Pinterest Predicts trends help shape your content for the 1st quarter.
